What is the future of Advertising? The use of smartphones, Ad blockers and social media is threatening mainstream websites dependent on ad revenue.
Most website visitors also feel indignant when Ads just pop up without encouragement and eventually they wise up and elect to frequent websites that offer less Ad intrusion.
There are however some Ads we can not ignore. Before watching a video on many video streaming sites Ads play for 30 – 90 seconds before we get the option to skip them. Most of them are very ordinary at best and we just can not wait to hit the ‘skip’ link but some Ads are actually worth watching – their message really hits the mark and so much so these Ads are shared and watched by millions.
