WhatsApp’s Birthday is 5 years old this month. Why is it so popular and successful? Is it due to it’s no Adverts, no games, no gimmicks focus? Probably!
WhatsApp founders also say they have no interest in collecting user data – now that’s refreshing given the proliferation of data mining apps now pushed onto users.
The founders of WhatsApp are ex. Yahoo engineers – Brian Action and Jan Koum. Of course they are now multi-billionaires having sold to Microsoft recently for USD$19 Billion but they are still very much part of the business.
