Optimising Your Email Marketing Lists



When was the last time you looked at your email list?  How active are your subscribers? We predict the 80-20 rule applies to your email marketing and it’s time your business formulates a plan of action so it engages more of your email list subscribers more often.

Reviewing your email list regularly can be achieved surreptitiously via a regular review of your business’ email marketing campaign statistics.

Plot the opens and clicks for email campaigns over a set period of three months or more and the results will show your email list subscriber interest in your current email communication (content) and it will also facilitate a business email marketing benchmark for 2016.

The 80-20 rule is known as the Pareto principle:

“states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes”

We predict twenty percent of your email list subscribers are responsible for eighty percent of the opens and clicks in your email marketing campaigns.  This is not to say eighty percent of your subscribers take no action at all.  They just take a lot less action than the high performing twenty percent of subscribers who do however more analysis and an action plan engagement with them with have more meaning and better results.

Steps To Take To Engage More Email List Subscribers
  1. Review Email Campaign Statistics – what content is working for whom on your email list?  Which subscribers are opening and clicking the links in which type of email content?  Build up the intelligence so you’re empowered to get a higher response from your email campaigns in 2016.
  2.
